Cancellation Policy for Normal Reservations

We know plans can change and we will be happy to assist in rescheduling your table where possible. If you wish to reschedule or adjust your booking before the 24 hours notice period, you may do so via the booking link in your confirmation email.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 9170 4714.

Online changes are not able to be done within 24 hours prior to the booking. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers (20% or more of group size cancelled) within the 24 hours notice period will result in a $20 per person charge made to your nominated credit card.

Please note that we are unable to transfer your booking to another branch internally and kindly request that you book for the right venue or make a new booking for the branch you wish to visit. Wrong venue bookings will be charged as per cancellation or no show fees due to the tables having been reserved for your party.

Private Room Bookings

Please note that a minimum spending is applicable when booking for a private dining room. If you wish to arrange for a private dining room, please make an inquiry here. A deposit will be required to secure your private room booking. This deposit can be used as credit on your reservation date. Any amount exceeding the deposit will need to be settled on the day.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a private room booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 9170 4714. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Credit Card Surcharge:
Please note a variable surcharge will be applied to all credit and debit card payments.

Sunday & Public Holiday:
Should your reservation fall on a Sunday, a 10% surcharge applies. On public holidays, a 15% surcharge will be added to the total bill.

Alcohol & decorum:

Amah by Ho Jiak is a fully licensed venue. We do BYO for wines only for normal dining. Corkage fee is $30 per bottle. It is your responsibility to ensure the orderly conduct of your guests. All beverages are subject to seasonal change.

Terms & Conditions for Special In-House Promotions

10th Anniversary 10-Course for $10 only:

  1. $10pp 10th Ho Jiak Anniversary is only available from 10th of July to 19th of July 2024.
  2. This promotion requires a minimum of 4pax and a maximum of 4pax per booking. If more than 4pax, you need to make another booking under a different name & email address.
  3. This offer strictly requires a booking via direct link under “$10pp 10th Anniversary Ho Jiak”, normal booking is not applicable to this promotion.
  4. This booking is strictly non-transferable and cannot be moved or changed to a different date.
  5. A minimum notice period of 72 hours is required to cancel a booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 72 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 72 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

  7. The 10-course meal Menu cannot accommodate dietary needs.

Bottomless Brunch & Supper:

  1. Only available for Booking.
  2. Only available Thursday to Saturday from 11.30am – 3.30pm (last seating) and Sunday from 1.30pm – 3.30pm (last seating), Thursday & Friday from 7.30pm – 8pm (last seating), excluding public holidays.
  3. All sittings are 1.5 hours. Last round of drinks, 15 minutes before end of seating.
  4. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for non-drinking guests.
  5. Minimum 2 people and everyone on the table must participate.
  6. Offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotions & vouchers.
  7. A minimum notice period of 48 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email at [email protected]
  8. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 48 hours notice period will incur loss of full deposit made to your nominated credit card. No credits will be given for cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 48 hours notice period.
  9. Amah by Ho Jiak Management reserves the right to amend these terms & conditions without prior notice.

$5 Beer Tuesday:

  1. This offer is valid on every Tuesday ONLY (Not applicable on public holidays)
  2. Offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotions & vouchers.
  3. Amah by Ho Jiak promotes responsible drinking.
  4. Liven & Shopback payments are not applicable to this promotion.
  5. Amah by Ho Jiak reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.

$12 Cocktail Thursday:

  1. This offer is valid for Signature Cocktails on every THURSDAY ONLY (Not applicable on public holidays).
  2. Offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotions & vouchers.
  3. Amah by Ho Jiak promotes responsible drinking.
  4. Liven & Shopback payments are not applicable to this promotion.

Dim Sum High Tea:

  1. This offer is valid daily from 11.30am to 5pm Monday-Saturday & 1.30pm onwards on Sunday (Last Seating 3.30pm).
  2. All sittings are 2 hours. Last round of drinks, 15 minutes before end of seating.
  3. This reservation is highly recommended to be booked, walk-in is available.
  4. Offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotions & vouchers.
  5. Public Holiday 15% & Sunday 10% surcharges are applicable on total bills.
  6. 10% Gratuity is applicable on total bills for a group of 10+
  7. Liven & Shopback payments are not applicable to this promotion.

  10. Desserts are assorted depending on availability of the day.
  11. We do not cater to any dietary requirements. We kindly seek your understanding.
Ho Jiak Events & Functions – 15% Credit Back:
  1.  To be eligible for the promotional credit, contact us at [email protected] and put the code HJEVENT15 in the subject line of the email.
  2. The 15% credit will be issued as an E-Voucher after the completion of the event. Note: Please wait for at least 48 hours to receive the E-Voucher.
  3. The E-Voucher can be redeemed on your next Ho Jiak visit, across all locations (Amah by Ho Jiak, Ho Jiak Town Hall, Ho Jiak Haymarket, and Ho Jiak Strathfield).
  4. The 15% credit is calculated based on the total bill, excluding gratuity and any surcharges.
  5. This offer is valid until 31st of December 2024. Subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without prior notice.
  6. The E-Voucher is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be extended.
