Cancellation Policy for Normal Reservations
We know plans can change and we will be happy to assist in rescheduling your table where possible. If you wish to reschedule or adjust your booking before the 24 hour notice period, you may do so via the booking link in your confirmation email.
A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 8065 6954.
Online changes are not able to be done within 24 hours prior to the booking. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers (20% or more of group size cancelled) within the 24 hours notice period will result in a $20 per person charge made to your nominated credit card.
Please note that we are unable to transfer your booking to another branch internally and kindly request that you book for the right venue or make a new booking for the branch you wish to visit. Wrong venue bookings will be charged as per cancellation or no show fees due to the tables having been reserved for your party.

Private Room Bookings
Please note that a minimum spending is applicable when booking for a private dining room. If you wish to arrange for a private dining room, please make an enquiry here. A deposit will be required to secure your private room booking. This deposit can be used as credit on your reservation date. Any amount exceeding the deposit will need to be settled on the day.
A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a private room booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 8065 6954. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.
Credit Card Surcharge:
Please note a variable surcharge will be applied to all credit and debit card payments.
Sunday & Public Holiday:
Should your reservation falls on a Sunday, a 10% surcharge applies. On public holidays, a 15% surcharge will be added to the total bill.
Exceeding Booking Time Limit:
Please note that there will be a 10% Surcharge fee on top of the total bill, if the booking exceeds 120 minutes (2 hours) or more.
Cancellation Policy for Special Events

Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period will incur a loss of full deposit made to your nominated credit card. No credits will be given for cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period.

Alcohol & decorum:
Ho Jiak Town Hall is fully licensed venue. BYO are not allowed. It is your responsibility to ensure the orderly conduct of your guests. All beverages are subject to seasonal change.

Terms & Conditions for Special In-House Promotions
Ho Jiak Events & Functions – 15% Credit Back
- To be eligible for the promotional credit, contact us at [email protected] and put the code HJEVENT15 in the subject line of the email.
- To qualify for this promotional credit, a booking of at least 16 pax is required.
- The 15% credit will be issued as an E-Voucher after the completion of the event. Note: Please wait for at least 48 hours to receive the E-Voucher.
- The E-Voucher can be redeemed on your next Ho Jiak visit, across all locations (Amah by Ho Jiak, Ho Jiak Town Hall, Ho Jiak Haymarket, and Ho Jiak Strathfield).
- The 15% credit is calculated based on the total bill, excluding gratuity and any surcharges.
- This offer is valid until 31st of January 2024. Subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without prior notice.
- The E-Voucher is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be extended.
- Ho Jiak Group Management reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
Happy Hour 3pm-6pm (Thu-Sun)
- This offer is only available at Ho Jiak Town Hall, starting 15th of August 2024.
- This offer is only available from Thursdays to Sundays from 3PM to 6PM only. Excluding Public Holidays, Special Events, and Functions.
- Only select Mocktails and Signature Cocktails are available for the offer. Please ask the Bartender for the drinks availability.
- Please note that we have 10% Sunday Service Charge that will be applied on the total bill.

Melbourne Cup 2024
- This event is only available at Ho Jiak Town Hall, on 5th of November (Tuesday) from 12PM to 4PM only. Limited seats available.
- Bookings are strictly required for this event and prepayment is required for this event.
- Unfortunately we are unable to cater any dietary requirements for this event.
- This booking is strictly non-transferable and cannot be moved or changed to a different date.
- A minimum notice period of at least 72 hours is required to cancel or adjust a booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 72 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 72 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Malaysian Circus
- This event is only available at Ho Jiak Town Hall, on 30th October 2024 (Wednesday) from 6PM onwards (limited seats per slot).
- Bookings are strictly required for this event and prepayment is required for this event.
- Please note that the set menu and cocktails cannot accommodate any dietary needs. We seek for your kind understanding.
- This event requires a minimum of 2 Pax per booking.
- This booking is strictly non-transferable and cannot be moved or changed to a different date.
- A minimum notice period of at least 7 days is required to cancel or adjust a booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 7 days in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 7 days of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.
- This promotion is not valid in conjunction with other promotions and vouchers.
