Cancellation Policy for Normal Reservations

We know plans can change and we will be happy to assist in rescheduling your table where possible. If you wish to reschedule or adjust your booking before the 24 hour notice period, you may do so via the booking link in your confirmation email.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 8040 0252.

Online changes are not able to be done within 24 hours prior to the booking. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers (20% or more of group size cancelled) within the 24 hours notice period will result in a $20 per person charge made to your nominated credit card.

Please note that we are unable to transfer your booking to another branch internally and kindly request that you book for the right venue or make a new booking for the branch you wish to visit. Wrong venue bookings will be charged as per cancellation or no show fees due to the tables having been reserved for your party.

Private Room Bookings

Please note that a minimum spending is applicable when booking for a private dining room. If you wish to arrange for a private dining room, please make an enquiry here. A deposit will be required to secure your private room booking. This deposit can be used as credit on your reservation date. Any amount exceeding the deposit will need to be settled on the day.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a private room booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 8040 0252. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Credit Card Surcharge:

Please note a variable surcharge will be applied to all credit and debit card payments.

Sunday & Public Holiday:

Should your reservation fall on a Sunday, a 10% surcharge applies. On public holidays, a 15% surcharge will be added to the total bill.

No credits will be given for cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period.

Alcohol & decorum:

Ho Jiak Haymarket is fully licensed venue. We do BYO for wines only for normal dining. Corkage fee is $25 per bottle. It is your responsibility to ensure the orderly conduct of your guests. All beverages are subject to seasonal change.

Terms & Conditions for Special In-House Promotions

10th Anniversary 10-Course for $10 only:
  1. $10pp 10th Ho Jiak Anniversary is only available from 10th of July to 19th of July 2024.
  2. This promotion requires a minimum of 4pax and a maximum of 4pax per booking. If more than 4pax, you need to make another booking under a different name & email address.
  3. This offer strictly requires a booking via direct link under “$10pp 10th Anniversary Ho Jiak”, normal booking is not applicable to this promotion.
  4. This booking is strictly non-transferable and cannot be moved or changed to a different date.
  5. A minimum notice period of 72 hours is required to cancel a booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 72 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 72 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

  7. The 10-course meal Menu cannot accommodate dietary needs.

  10. Ho Jiak Group Management reserves the rights to amend these Terms & Conditions without and prior notice. 
All You Can Eat Supper:
  1. All seating time is 90 minutes starting from the time of the booking (10PM & 10.15PM). Last round of food & drinks, 15 minutes before end of seating.
  2.  For an additional $12 per person, enjoy unlimited drinks for 90 minutes (last call or drinks, 15 minutes before end of seating), including beer/teh tarik/house wine, with no substitutions allowed. Food and drinks will be served per round, and ordering the next round is permitted only after finishing the current round of food.
  3. Minimum 2 people and the whole table must participate. We DO NOT cater any dietary requirements.
  4. Food & drinks are NOT allowed to takeaway. Our venue makes sure to prevent wastage and we do require a fee of $10 per dishes & drinks in case of left over or wastage.
  5. Offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotions & vouchers. Liven & Shopback payments are NOT applicable to this offer and NO split payments allowed.
  6. Please arrive on time for your desired/reserved session. Session times are strictly 90 minutes and you will be required to vacate at the end of the session time, regardless of how long you have been seated for.

  8. Ho Jiak Haymarket Management reserves the right to practice Responsible Service of Alcohol. If a customer is visibly highly intoxicated, our management reserves the right to ask them to leave the premises.
  9. Ho Jiak Haymarket Management reserves the right to amend these terms & conditions without prior notice.
Pipis Tuesday:
  1. This promotion is valid to bookings ONLY (dine in only) at least 24 hours before and while stock last (Not applicable on NSW Public Holidays).
  2. A minimum order of HALF Kilogram (kg) per serve is required.
  3. Pipis can be done in XO or Black Pepper sauce (please pick one per serve).
  4. Noodles are excluded in this promotion, add-on noodle $12 per serve.
  5. Liven payments are not applicable to this promotion.
  6. This promotion is not in conjunction with other promotions and vouchers.
  7. This promotion is available at Ho Jiak Haymarket on every TUESDAY ONLY.
  8. Ho Jiak Haymarket reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
Malaysian High Tea:
  1. Only available every Monday – Friday from 2.30pm – 5pm excluding public holidays.
  2. All sittings are 1.5 hours.
  3. Minimum 2 people and the whole table must participate.
  4. We do not cater to any dietary requirements.
  5. Offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotions & vouchers.
  6. Food selection’s availability may vary or be subjected to alterations.
  7. Deposit will be collected.
  8. A minimum notice period of 48 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email at [email protected]
  9. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 48 hours notice period will incur a full charge to your nominated credit card. No credits will be given for cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 48 hours notice period.
  10. Ho Jiak Haymarket Management reserves the right to amend these terms & conditions without prior notice.
Ho Jiak Events & Functions – 15% Credit Back:
  1. To be eligible for the promotional credit, contact us at [email protected] and put the code HJEVENT15 in the subject line of the email.
  2. The 15% credit will be issued as an E-Voucher after the completion of the event. Note: Please wait for at least 48 hours to receive the E-Voucher.
  3. The E-Voucher can be redeemed on your next Ho Jiak visit, across all locations (Amah by Ho Jiak, Ho Jiak Town Hall, Ho Jiak Haymarket, and Ho Jiak Strathfield).
  4. The 15% credit is calculated based on the total bill, excluding gratuity and any surcharges.
  5. This offer is valid until 31st of December 2024. Subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without prior notice.
  6. The E-Voucher is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be extended.
  7. Ho Jiak Group Management reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
